I have always written stories, ever since I was a young child. As a child I mostly wrote stories
about animals. In my teens I began to to watch the television show "Buffy The Vampire
Slayer" - and then later its spin off show "Angel". It was then that I joined the hundreds of other
fans from around the world in writing "fanfiction" - original stories based on the Buffyverse.
                    
I began reading comics in late 2003. In early 2005 Marvel introduced a new character into their
X-Men line, called "Laura Kinney" also known as "X-23". From reading her first appearance in
comics, she instantly became my favourite comic character. As someone who has always written stories, I soon joined other X-fans and began to write "fanfiction" based this new character.
                   
From mid 2005, Marvel began to include Laura Kinney/X-23 in more and more of their X-Men
comics, and we the fans, were able to learn more and more about her. Which enabled those who write "fanfiction" to deepen the character and flesh out new ideas based on the X-Men comics.
