Mr 'Andy' Harris: is Maria's father. He owns an
Electrical Store on Main Street, called "Harris
Electrical Supplies", which he and his daughter live
in the flat above. Mr Harris has a hard time keeping his daughter
in line, in addition to being a single father and having to work. His
wife Julie, left him to raise their daughter when Maria was only
six, in which he took very hard at first, but soon realized that
his wife left the most important thing behind - their daughter.
Mr Harris comes down hard on Maria, but time and time again she
disobeys. He's hoping that moving
from the City to the small town of Chestaville is the new start they
need.

Mrs 'Julie' Harris: is Maria's estranged
mother. She left her husband to raise their daughter and until
recently they'd not heard from her since. She contacted Maria,
needing help for her son.
Jamie (Maria's half brother) has "CMML"
(form of Leukemia). Mrs Harris contacted Maria in hope that
she'd help with his much needed bone marrow transplant, as his half sister,
Maria could be the match he needs. At first Maria had no intention
of even talking to her mom, she felt betrayed for her walking out.
But after a while,
she realizes her mom's past actions
weren't her little brother's fault, so decides to take the 'tissue-match' test.
Maria and her mom relationship is
still very, very strained.
